Innovative conference programme and pricing – more4less

Green Building 2012 will again feature several innovations in its programme and market offerings:

The programme will be separated into clearly defined ½ day modules, each featuring international and local experts and concluding with a facilitated panel discussion with the
speakers from that module.

Modules are structured so as to be attractive to all stakeholders, but will allow people to choose not to attend all sessions without losing any coherence, and CPD credits will also
be structured accordingly.

Modules proposed for 2012:

Module 1
Designing for Climate Resilience at the urban scale
(This module features leading thought and practice on the design of urban areas that enable communities to live sustainably in the holistic sense)

Module 2
Research and Innovation in materials and technologies
(This module is presented by the CSIR and features the work of leading researchers and scientists within the built environment fields from SA and abroad and covers design, construction methods, and materials)

Module 3
World and SA leading green building design
(This module features cutting edge design from SA and abroad, with case study based presentations from practitioners)

Module 4
Design charrettes:
1 Small House
2 Class room
3 Small factory
(This module features three parallel facilitated panel lead sessions involving speakers and experts in attendance and in which the group jointly workshops all considerations relevant to the design of the specific building type in question – the objective being to move from a general understanding to the implementation of principals espoused)
