11. The site of West Kowloon reclamation is at the tip of a complex and richly dense peninsular facing a dynamic city island. This location offers an excellent opportunity for the development of an iconic landmark for Hong Kong.

This development integrated the arts, cultural and entertainment precinct in Hong Kong, S.A.R. as an extension to the main shopping area of Tsim Sha Tsui. The proposal creates an entirely new landscaped waterfront feature for Hong Kong which combines and synthesises the landscape with the built form. Pier towers frames this urban park with landscaped site coverage of over 94%.

Unique Features :

1. Integrated Waterfront Centre for Arts, Cultural and Entertainment as a World Class Destination. The wide range of recreational, cultural and retail integrated facilities will become a regional hub for users and tourists.

2. Uninterrupted Views
MTRC and KCRC Towers maintain uninterrupted views of the waterfront through landscaped park. Within this development, vantage viewing areas are oriented to capture dramatic views of the waterfront and Hong Kong island.

3. The Park as a “Green Jacket”
Provides a continuous urban park as a unique urban “Ecological corridor” and provides an environmentally sustainable and ecologically benign solution. 94% of the site is covered by lush landscaped area.

4. “Green Cell Nodes”:
These extend from the “Green jacket” to provide ventilation and natural lighting to the programmatic spaces as well as integrating existing transportation systems with new proposed network.

5. Public Park Spaces:
the continuous extent of the “green jacket” roof offers many opportunities for active and passive public spaces through the landscape and urban interfaces, such as the Cultural Plazas.

6. Feng Shui Compliance:
Consideration of Feng Shui design principles for auspicious conditions to ensure a successful development.

7. Landscaped Urban Connections:
The continuous landscaped park provides circulation within the site and overhead landscaped bridges connect with the surrounding context to form an integrated urban environment.

8. Integrated Cultural “necklace” of event spaces:
Integrating the cultural loop of facilities such as the landmark Opera House, Cultural Plaza, Amphitheatre, Mediatheque and to the retail district and surrounding context will maximise user access.

9. Continuous Waterfront Promenade:
The long stretch of the waterfront is to be optimised as a continuous promenade with enhanced facilities such as a Viewing Bridge, Marina and amenities while linking back to the existing waterfront.
